Stumpy the Blue-Tongued Skink receives Red Light Therapy

Recently, Tony Nevin or Zoo Ost Ltd found himself caring for two blue-tongued skinks who came to him for rehabilitation, because they had previously had a session of sibling fisticuffs and Stumpy sustained an injury to her leg.  Tony used a combination of osteopathic methods and Photizo red light therapy to assist in Stumpy’s recovery.

Here you can see a short video showing Tony with Stumpy.  She certainly seems to be enjoying her treatment!

About Blue-tongued Skinks

Blue-tongued skinks are naturally found in the warm woodlands and grasslands of Australia. Naturally, blue-tongued skinks bask in the heat of the sun and because they come from a warm environment they struggle with the cold and humid UK weather and need to be kept in a special temperature regulated environment.
