Celebrating Success at the UKFL: Cambridgeshire Flyball Team

This August, Photizo Ambassadors, the Cambridgeshire Flyball Team, achieved extraordinary success at the UK Flyball Championships. The event, held at the Lincolnshire Showground, brought together 60 of the UK’s top Flyball teams for an exhilarating display of speed, skill, and teamwork. Cambridgeshire Flyball Team not only lived up to expectations but exceeded them, marking their most successful UK Flyball Championship to date.

A Team of Champions

The Cambridgeshire Flyball Team were represented by their top-performing dogs. These incredible canine athletes showcased their dedication and training by delivering stellar performances across various divisions. Their results were nothing short of spectacular:

•             CANINES winners of Group B and runners-up in the GOLD cup

•             CATAPULTS winners of division 7

•             CANNONS winners of division 10

•             CRITTERS winners on division 19

•             COCKTAILS winners of MB division 3

•             Frank, winner of LLS division 2

•             Bella & Molly winners of LLP division 11

•             Ella with Jazz, winners of Junior singles division 9

•             Vegas, winner (and reigning champion) of singles division 1

•             Domino & Tigger winners of mini-maxi pairs division 1

We at Photizo are incredibly proud to sponsor such a talented and hardworking team. Their success is a testament to the dedication of the handlers, the relentless training, and the care that goes into keeping these dogs in peak condition.

The Remarkable Story of Ella and Jazz

One of the most heartwarming stories from the championships is that of five-year-old Ella and 12-year-old dog, Jazz. Ella, the youngest member of the Cambridgeshire Flyball Team, competed in the Junior Singles category with Jazz, a seasoned Flyball veteran and RSPCA rescue.

Jazz has been drawn to young Ella’s side when they are at any training sessions and competitions together, especially since Ella was a baby in her buggy. Together, they won their division, a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about their bond and teamwork.

Jazz, despite her age, continues to compete at the highest levels, and team Cambs enthusiastically credit the regular Photizo red light therapy treatments she receives, (along with the other dogs in the team). These treatments help maintain Jazz’s muscle health and overall well-being, allowing her to perform at her best, even at 12 years old.

Ella’s journey into Flyball is equally inspiring. From a young age, she has been immersed in the world of Flyball, learning the intricacies of the sport from her family and the team. Her intuitive understanding of the dogs and their needs has made her a natural handler, and her success in the Junior Singles division is a proud moment for her family and the entire team.

The Power of Photobiomodulation

At Photizo, we are committed to supporting the health and performance of canine athletes like those on the Cambridgeshire Flyball Team. Our Vetcare Photobiomodulation device is designed to enhance recovery, reduce inflammation, and maintain muscle health, ensuring that dogs can continue to compete at their best. Jazz’s success at the championships is a shining example of how Photizo can help dogs remain in peak condition, even as they age.

The story of Ella and Jazz is a reminder of the deep connections that form between handlers and their dogs, and how the right care and therapy can make all the difference in their performance. We are honoured to be part of this journey and look forward to many more successes with the Cambridgeshire Flyball Team.

As we celebrate the achievements of the Cambridgeshire Flyball Team, we are excited about what the future holds. Their success at the UK Flyball Championships is just the beginning, and we are committed to supporting them every step of the way. Congratulations to the entire team – we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
